Mr. Marshall " John" or " Birdhead" Gainey, 64, of Lillington, NC, died at Central Harnett Hospital, Lillington, NC on Friday, November 17, 2017.

Surviving to cherish his fond memories are: two sons, Michael Gainey, of Fayetteville, North Carolina and David Gainey, of Lillington, North Carolina, twelve grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one sister, Dorothy “Dot” McNeill, of Lillington, North Carolina, one brother, James (Lena) Gainey, of Lillington, North Carolina, one aunt, Vivan Gainey, of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina, a very special friend, Stella Cannaby; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 12:00 P.M., Lillington Grove Free Will Baptist Church, 106 E. Washington Street, Lillington, NC. Interment will take place immediately following the Service.
