Mr. Earl  McDuffie, 76, of 36 Bumpas Creek, Dunn, NC, died on September 22, 2017 in Raleigh, NC.

Friends are being received at his home.

Mr. Earl McDuffie son of the late Caleb (Chip) and Theola McDuffie was born on June  11, 1941 in Harnett County, Dunn North Carolina. He departed this life September 22, 2017 at Rex Hospital Raleigh North Carolina. He was a Deacon of Pleasant Grove FWB Church. He was employed at Burlington Mill in Erwin North Carolina for seven years. He left Erwin Mill to become an Entrepreneur  of his own mechanic shop until his health decline. He was joined in holy matrimony to Mary McDuffie and was a devoted Husband as well as a loving Daddy., Granddaddy, and Great Granddaddy. He was proceeded in death by his brothers Caleb McDuffie Jr, Thomas McDuffie, Danny McDuffie, sister,Dorothy Myles, two children, John Henry Blue and Wanda McDuffie. He leaves to cherish his wife Mary McDuffie of 54 years. Through their union they raised 11 children: Herman  Dawson (Martha) of Austin Texas, William Blue (Lillie Rose) of Dunn North Carolina, Janet Freeman (Frankie) of Hephizibah Georgia, Delores McDuffie, Edward McDuffie (Lorraine),Delphine Pratt (Vince) all of Dunn North Carolina, Fredrick McDuffie (Jacqueline) of Zebulon North Carolina, Darrell McDuffie (Jessica), Melissa McDuffie both of Dunn North Carolina, and a host of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A Visitation for Mr. Earl will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. (family will be present at 12:30 p.m.)with the Funeral Service immediately following the Visitation, beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, Cape Fear “A” Conference Headquarters 25 Beaver Rd Erwin, NC . The interment will take place immediately following the service in Mt Zion Community Cemetery, Dunn, NCPlease remember to sign the "Guest Book".
