Markel Lee Gerald

Mr. Markel Lee Gerald, 26, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2019.

Markel Lee Gerald-Bizzle, was born on January 15, 1993 in Rochester, NY.  He was the third child and second son to his proud and loving parents, Margo Myansa Gerald Jones of      Fayetteville, NC and Kevin  Bizzle, Sr. of Rochester, NY. Growing up he attended elementary and high school in the Rochester City school district where he later graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School in June 2011.

A very talented and gifted young man, Markel was a natural born musician.  He taught himself to play the keyboard and he also loved drums, horns and ultimately developed a love for rap music. Although he was very well rounded with playing instruments, his truest talent was unquestionably his musical genius that over flowed when he had a pad and pen in hand and began writing raps and creating beats for his lyrics. With rap music he was able to capture the interest of young and old and a cross over listener  base with his beats to his original songs such as AUD-Ling and countless others.  He was indeed, a NATURAL!  He loved rapping, joking and playing basketball. He loved movies, card games and because he had a special relationship with God he always preaching on Facebook.  Markel Lee Gerald-Bizzle was a custodial of Southview High School.  Markel was a fun, loving and respectful young man.  He was a devoted husband, son, brother and uncle.  He loved and adored his family.  His younger siblings looked up to him and saw him as a true friend and a loyal big brother who looked out for his family.  He enjoyed making them smile every opportunity he had during Sunday dinners, family gatherings, parties and social events.

Markel departed this life suddenly on September 12, 2019 and    he leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Melanie Gerald of Conway, SC; (parents, Melvin and Sharon McCants of Conway, SC); his mother,  Margo Myansa Gerald Jones (Gary); his father Kevin Bizzle, Sr. (Tomika); step parents, Anthony Rogers and Erica Brown; siblings, Kevin, Jr., Zymere Jones Garena, Cameron Bizzle, Christian Rogers Nicole, TaMya Rogers, Alexsys Grishaber; grandmother, Dorothy Greene (Esau), Regina Scott; grandfathers, George Bizzle and the late Mattie Mae, and Wanda Lee Knight; step grandparents, Thomas and Eunice Jones, uncle, Dontest Gerald; aunts: Renee Knight (FL); Trisha Bizzle, Angela (Jeff Hill), Nicole Robinson (Corey), Tangela Richards (David), Tracey Lee; brother-in-law, Derrick Mitchell, two sisters-in-law, Shaneria McCants and Angela  Mitchell (Joseph). He also leaves behind his best friend, Neshelle Brown, two godchildren, Jailynn Butler and Roman Smith; two special cousins; LaToya Gerald and Makisha Gerald, six nieces, five nephews, many cousins and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Extended family and friends are being received at the home of parents his mother, Myansa Margo (Gary) Jones and father, Kevin Bizzle Sr. located at: 1513 Argon Ave. Fayetteville, NC 28311.

Viewing for Markel will be held on Friday, September 20, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.,Temple of Deliverance Outreach Center, 446 Hillsboro Street, Fayetteville, NC, A Celebration of life, will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019,beginning at 12:00 p.m., Grace and Truth Church of God, 3811 Murchison Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28311

Interment will take place in Greater St. James AME Zion Church Cemetery, 2818 Oak Street, Conway, SC, on Monday, September 23, 2019,at 1:00 p.m.
