Alvis "Donnell" Bass

Mr. Alvis “Donnell” Bass of Bunnlevel, NC, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Whispering Pines Nursing Home, Fayetteville, NC.  

Extended family and friends are being received at the home of his son, Corey Bass, 3570 Walker Road, Bunnlevel, NC. 

The precious and fond memories of Alvis will forever be cherished in the hearts and souls of his nine children: Alvis Antonio Elliott and Corey Donnell (Sandra) Elliott of Bunnlevel NC, Maria D. Green (Charles) of Durham NC, Patricia Lynette McKoy (Dwight) of Lillington NC, Nichelle Markum (Corey), James Bass, and Alvis “Squirt” (Rosanne) Bass, all of Virginia, Natasha Bass of Erwin NC and Kizzy Shaw of Smithfield NC; 27 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; his mother, Lula Corena Walker Bass of Bunnlevel NC; his brothers: Sylvester Bass (Lynda) and Earvin “Earl” Bass (Patricia) of Lillington NC; Freddie Bass of Fayetteville NC; and Andrew Bass (Lizzie) of Angier NC; his adopted sister: Renae Elliott (Greg) of Hope Mills NC; his sister-in-law: Cynthia Bass of Lillington NC; his aunts: Mother Ida Elliott (Bishop Purdie) of Fayetteville NC, Laura “Lisa” McNeill of Sanford NC, Shirley Walker of Maryland, Justine Walker of Brooklyn NY, Louise Walker of Winston-Salem NC and Mary Bell Swann of Sanford NC; his uncle: Lonzel Bass (Louise) of Raleigh NC; generations of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a plethora of friends.

Per the family, if in attendance to Viewing or Services, please wear a Mask or Facial Covering.

A Viewing will be held Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Walker Funeral Home Chapel, 163 Irene Roberts Road, Lillington, NC, from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM, with no more than 10 individuals at any one time.

Services will immediately follow the Viewing, beginning at 2:00 PM, at Walker Funeral Home Chapel, 163 Irene Roberts Road, Lillington, NC.  

Due to COVID-19, the Governor of North Carolina has asked that all gatherings be limited to no more than 50 people including staff and all attendees such as clergy, ushers, musicians etc.
