Barry Merritt, Sr.

Mr. Barry Merritt, 70, of 63 Johnston Town Rd, Lillington, NC, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Central Harnett Hospital, Lillington, NC.

Friends are being received at the home.

Barry leaves to cherish his memories: his wife of fourteen years, JoAnn Merritt of the home; one son Barry Merritt  Jr. of Lillington, NC;  two sisters Corrine Merritt  of NYC and Jimmie Merritt of NJ; three grandchildren Brian Merritt, Brice Merritt, and Shaquanna McNeill of Lilington, NC; one brother-in-law, Ock Cannady of Lillington, NC; two sister-in-laws; Stella Cannady and Brenda Kirby of Lillington, NC; four nieces and seven nephews;  a very dear cousin and friend Coy McNeill; two close friends Larry People and Johnny Vandergriff; and host of cousins, family and  a host of cousins, family, and friends.

Viewing for Barry, Sr.will be held on Sunday,  April 14, 2019, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Funeral Services following the viewing, beginning at 3:00 p.m.,Cape Fear Confernec “ A” Headquarters, 25 Beaver Rd, Erwin, NC.

Interment will take place immediately after the service in Lillington First Baptist Missionary Church Cemetery, Bailey Way, Lillington, NC.
