Bessie McLean Smith

Ms. Bessie M. Smith, 95, of 401 South 15th Street, Erwin, NC, passed away on Monday, April 5, 2021, at Cornerstone Nursing and Rehab Center, Dunn, NC.

Extended family and friends are being received at her home.

Bessie was preceded in death by all of her siblings: Martha Jane Elliott Cameron, Sonnie Jim McLean, Bradley McLean, Alexander McLean, Jr., James Harrison McLean, John D. McLean, Beatrice McLean Williams, and Reverend Edward C. McLean, Sr.

Those left to lament her demise include; daughter, Becky A.Smith of the home; step-son, Ozell Johnson of Coats, NC; sister-in-law Mildred R. McLean of Greensboro, NC, and Cora S.Cameron of Erwin, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Services will immediately follow the Visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home Chapel, 163 Roberts Road, Lillington, NC, with no more than 10 individuals at any one time 

Interment will take place immediately after service at Riverside Community Cemetery, Erwin, NC.

If in attendance during Visitation or Services, please wear a Mask or Facial Covering.
