Curtis Lee Byrd

Mr. Curtis Lee Byrd, 75, of Lillington, NC passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Universal Healthcare, Lillington, NC.

Extended family and friends are being received at the home of sister, Dorothy "Dot" Smith, located at 412 West Godwin St., Dunn, NC. ( between the hours of 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.)

Left to cherish Curtis many memories, two sons: Ernest (Verter) McDougald, of Bunnlevel, NC and Johnnie Byrd, of Pennsylvania, daughter: Sharon Spearman, of New Jersey, two brothers: James (Barbara) Byrd, of Ohio and Ernest (Sarah) Harris, of Lillington, NC, two sisters: Dorothy ‘ Dot” Smith, of Dunn, NC and Barbara McNeill, of Dunn, NC, uncle; Calvin ( Doris) Smith, of Indiana, twelve grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and many, many friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (family will be present at 6:00 p.m.),Walker Funeral Home and Cremation Chapel, 163 Irene Roberts Rd, Lillington, NC.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 from 1:00 p.m to 2:00 p.m,Celebration of Life will follow Viewing beginning at 2:00 p.m., Walker Funeral Home Chapel, 163 Irene Roberts Rd, Lillington, NC.

Interment will take place in Sandhills Veteran Cemetery, Spring Lake, NC.
