Cynthia "CJ" "Tita" Williams

Ms. Cynthia "CJ" "Tita" Williams, 70, of Erwin, NC, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023.

Extended family and friends are being received at the home of her sister, located at 246 Fuller Drive, Lillington, NC. (from 12:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m)

Cynthia Deloris (Cates)Williams was born in Sanford, North Carolina on October 22, 1952 to the late Collie and Ruby Love Atkins Cates.  She was the fourth child which eventually included two sisters and three brothers. Cynthia was affectionally known as Tita or CJ. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her older sister, Joann Cates and younger brother, Gerald Cates.

Cynthia will be forever remembered and loved by her brothers; Quint Cates, of Baltimore, Maryland and Christopher (Pete) Cates,sister; Daphine Cates, of Lillington, NC; immediate family of nieces, Sherry T. Anderson (Anthony), of San Antonio, TX. and Anita C. Hodges, of Raleigh, NC; immediate family of nephews; Demetrius A. Cates, of Lillington, NC, great niece/nephew; Sharhonda Q. Blue (Alfred, Princess Quinn), of Dallas, TX, Dominique A. Anderson,of San Antonio, TX.;,great nephews/nieces; Torin A. Cates (Jahlil, King, and Kaisley), Todd A. Hodges (Baby Tahj), Damir A. Cates, and Dakyia V. Cates, all of North Carolina and Demetrius A. Cates Jr., of Florida. She will be dearly missed by her long-term life friend; Eugene Suggs, step-son ;Kevin Williams, as well as additional nephews, nieces, god children, and a multitude of relatives and friends locally and abroad.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (family will be present),Walker Funeral Home and Cremation Chapel, 163 Irene Roberts Rd, Lillington, NC.

Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 25, 2023, 3:00 p.m. Walker Funeral Home and Cremation Chapel, 163 Irene Roberts Rd, Lillington, NC.

Interment will take place in Sandhills Veteran Cemetery, Spring Lake, NC.
