Mr. Darryl McDowell, II, 41, of 31 Kathleen Terrace, Sanford, NC, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Cape Fear Valley Hospital, Fayetteville, NC.

Extended family and friends are being received at the home.

Mask or Facial Covering are Required.

He leaves to cherish memories his wife, Carmellia McDowell; six children; Darryl McDowell III, Odyssey McDowell, Dhamin McDowell, Destiny McDowell, Kamyle McDowell, Promiss McDowell, step children; Tyree Newsuan, Jawuan Newsuan, his mother; Yvette Bernard, two sisters; Amia McDowell, Bianca Whittica, three brothers; Demetrius Bernard, Tishomi Matthews, and Jamal Matthews, two brother-in-laws; John Mitchell and Anthony Whittica, five sister-in-laws; Sandra Newsuan, Rochelle Newsuan, Gwendolyn Mitchell, Towannae Newsuan, and Paula Newsman, aunt; Lisa Bernard, niece; Dayonnie Cooper, nephews; Carter Robinson and Sebastian Whittica, and a host of other aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mask or Facial Covering are Required.

A Viewing well be held on Monday, December 27, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.,Walker Funeral Home Chapel, 163 Irene Roberts Road, Lillington, NC, with no more than 10 individuals at any one time. Services will immediately follow the Viewing beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Mask or Facial Covering are Required.

Interment will take place immediately after service at Anderson Creek Christian Cemetery, 1680 Will Lucas Road, Linden NC.
