Mr. James Edward Colvin, 75, of 304 S.Washington Ave.,Dunn, NC, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019, at Duke University Hospital, Durham,NC.
Extended family and friends are being received at the home.
Precious memories of Deacon Colvin will forever be kept by his wife of 55 years, Tina Colvin, of the home,daughter; Vonda Joyce Colvin, of Charlotte, NC; son :Corey Edward Colvin and grandson Robert Qua’Dre Colvin, both of Dunn, NC; adopted daughter, Rinaldi Walker (Andre) of Dunn, NC; sister-in-law, Lula Mae Turpin (Ross) of Shorter, AL; three brothers-in-law Henry Mims of Shorter, AL, Thomas Mims (Pein) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Joseph Irby of Homewood, IL; two aunts, Mother Reatha Colvin of Dunn and Mother Marie Staten of Wake Forest, NC; two special friends, Deacon Charles Burt of Erwin, NC and Conrad McNeil of Dunn, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, extended church family, and friends.
A Viewing will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Funeral Services following the viewing beginning at 3:30 p.m., Cape Fear Conference “A” Headquarters, 25 Beaver Rd, Erwin, NC.
Interment will take place immediately following the service in Resthaven Cemetery, Dunn, NC
