Harrison Ridgell Jr.

Mr. Harrison Ridgell Jr. ,90, passed away on Wednesday, May 18,2022,  at his residence surrounded by loved ones.

Extended family and friends are being received at the home, located at 1055  Shawtown Road, Lillington, NC. (Family Requires Visitors Wear a Mask).

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 67 years, Lula Mae Bell Ridgell and six children: Glenda Mae McLean of Fayetteville, NC, Barbara Ann White (Richard) of Lillington, NC, Harrison Ridgell III of Lillington, NC, Alfred Ridgell (Cecelia) of Clemmons, NC, Carolyn Andersen of Angier, NC and Martin Ridgell (Drusilla) of Rock Hill, SC.; twelve grandchildren: Nakesia Moore (Ronald), Nicole Washington (Craig), Patrick McLean, Terri Whitner, Victoria Moore, Justin Ridgell, Morgan Ridgell, Preston Ridgell, Kayla Ridgell, Jessica Andersen, DeVon Ridgell, and Layla Ridgell ; eight great grandchildren, Ciara Moore, Cortez Moore, Daesean Washington, Chanel Washington, Brianna Washington, Brighton McLean, Tymia Bell, and Tristian A’mari Ridgell; God child, Yettonya Conner ; God granddaughter, Ja’Zhara Cox. along with numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Viewing will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (family will be present at 4:30 p.m.), Walker Funeral Home Chapel, 163 Irene Roberts Rd, Lillington, NC.

A Celebration of Life for Mr. Harrison Ridgell Jr. will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2022, viewing will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Services will  immediately follow the Viewing beginning at 2:00 p.m. Wesley Chapel AME Zion Church, 74 Irene Roberts Road, Lillington, NC. 

Interment will take place immediately following the Service in the Church Cemetery.
