James L. Staton

Mr. James L. Staton, 79, of 43 Bunce Court, Lillington, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his love ones.

Extended family and friends are being received the home.

Mr.James leaves to cherish his many memories, wife of 53 years; Evelyn Joyce Staton, four sons; Gregory Lewis Staton,Timothy G Staton,Sterling (Alicia) Staton and Merlin (Marva) Sabb, two daughters: Pamela J. Staton and Anita (Kenneth)Tabon, daughter in-law; Shirley Mitchell, eighteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren and a special granddaughter; Nyla Enyinaya, five brothers: Larry (Georgia) Staton,Sherrill (Debbie) Staton,Raymond (Louise) Staton, Alton Staton and James Daymon, four sisters; Carolyn Gilchrist, Glenda Staton, Elise Staton and Annie Staton, aunt; Helen Moss, sisters-in-laws; Mary M Staton and Phyllis Staton, a special daughter-in-law; Pamela Morris Staton and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins. and many friends.

A Visitation will be held for Mr. Staton on Friday April 3, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 pm at the Chapel of Walker Funeral Home and Cremation, 163 Irene Roberts Rd. Lillington, NC.Interment will follow the visitation at Resthaven Cemetery, Dunn, NC. 

Due to COVID-19, the Governor of North Carolina has asked that all gatherings be limited to no more than 50 people including staff and all attendees such as clergy, ushers, musicians etc. Please check with the family to see if you are invited.
