Joseph " Boot" Grady Handon, Jr,

Mr. Joseph ‘ Boot”  Grady Handon, Jr., 78, of Apex, NC, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Transitions Hospice Care, Raleigh, NC.

Mr. Joseph “Boot” Handon, leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his devoted daughter; Twyla C. Handon, of Willow Springs, NC, four loving sisters; Lucille Edwards, of Raleigh, NC, Mary H. Edwards, of Apex, NC, Claretta Handon, of Knightdale, NC and Arlene ( Herald) Daniels, of Raleigh, NC.

He will also be fondly remembered by his former brother- in -laws, Willie B. Harrington, Harold Bernard Harrington and Ronald Harrington and his brother- in -law, Alvin (Mary Frances) Sapp.

Joseph memory will live on in the hearts of his wide and loving circles of extended family — his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews — and the many relatives and friends whose lives he touched with warmth and kindness.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Celebration of Life will follow the Viewing beginning at 12:00 p.m., White Oak Missionary Baptist Church, 1621 White Oak Church Rd, Apex, NC. 

Interment will take place immediately after the service in the Church Cemetery.
