Long time North Carolina resident, Marjorie (Marjie) Jean LeDuke, passed away at her home in Cameron, NC on April 1, 2021 at the age of 75. She was born in Littleton, NH on August 12, 1945. Her Father's career in the US Army took them on many travels to include Ft. Bragg, NC. Becoming an adult and on her own, set her gypsy soul free. She moved around, lived in different states, with Ft. Bragg/ Fayetteville, NC eventually becoming home. She worked early on as a dental assistant and went through beauty school. Her quick witted personality and ability to conversate effortlessly, made her a top shelf waitress and bartender. She played a mean game of pool, loved to throw darts, crochet, and she loved to feed people. She would help anyone in need, in any way that she could. She was more proud of her children and grandchildren than anything in life. She is preceded in death by her parents Bruce Elmer LeDuke and Eleanor Roxie Judd, her sister Loretta Watson, and the love of her life, 25 year partner, Gary Edward (Eddie) Keily. Left to cherish her memory are her son; Anthony Dean Strong and daugher-in-law Teresa of Dallas TX, her daughter; Christine Strong Bleacher of Clarkesville, GA, granddaughters; Kaitlyn Casey and Ashley Strong, two great grand children; Lorelai and Ridge, her sister; Marion Hanes and brother-in-law John of Pueblo, CO, all of her nieces and nephews and friends who loved her like family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 1st from 12-3pm.
