Otis William Ray, Sr.

Mr. Otis William Ray, Sr., 62, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020, at Atrium Health Pineville, Charlotte, NC

Extended family and friends are being received at the home of his mother, Cornelia Ray, located at : 1160 Joel Johnson Rd., Lillington, NC.

Mr. Otis leaves to forever cherish his memories: his wife, Sandra Ray, of the home, five sons, Otis Ray, Jr., of Raleigh, NC, Eric (Shanya) Ray, of Raleigh, NC, Derrick (Martha) Ray, of Charlotte, NC, Brian Ray , of Charlotte, NC and Kaiser Ray, of Greenville, NC; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandchild; mother, Cornelia Ray; god-daughters, Shannon (Charles) Williams and Tara McKoy; siblings, Gloria (Kelvin) Robinson, Arlesia  (Bishop Wayne) McKoy, Jennifer Ray, Richard Ray and Stanley Stokes.  

If in attendance during Visitation or Services, please wear a Mask or Facial Covering.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2020, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m, with no more than 10 individuals at any one time. Services will immediately follow the Visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m.,Walker Funeral Home Chapel, 163 Irene Roberts Road, Lillington, NC. 

Interment will take place immediately after service, Lillington First Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Bailey Way, Lillington, NC.

Due to COVID-19, the Governor of North Carolina has asked that all gatherings be limited to no more than 50 people including staff and all attendees such as clergy, ushers, musicians etc.
