Vera " Barbara Jean" Elaine McNeill

Ms.Vera Elaine “ Barbara Jean” McNeill, 70, of Benson, NC, formerly of Dunn, NC, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at her home.

Left to cherish her many memories are two daughters; Stacey Walker, of Linden, NC and Contina “ Tina” McNeill, of Hope Mills, NC, son; Harold Townsend, “Jr”, of Dunn, NC, six grandchildren, Sireta Brewington, of Hammond, Louisiana, Terrell McNeill, of West Virginia, Carlene Walker, of Linden, NC and Christopher “ Chris” Mulder, of Salisbury, NC, Brianna “ Bri” (Jonathan) Bridges, of Fayetteville, NC and Sencere Townsend, of Benson, NC, nine great grandchildren. sister; Dorothy “ Dot” Smith, of Dunn, NC, brothers; Ernest (Sarah) Harris, of Lillington, NC, James (Barbara) Byrd, of Ohio, Stanley Organ and Joseph Curteon, both of Washington, DC and James ‘ Jimmy”  Curteon, of Ft. Pierce, FL and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, classmates, and many friends.  

Viewing will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (family will be present at 2:30 p.m.), Celebration of Life will follow the viewing beginning at 3:00 p.m., Erwin Church of God,109 W C Street, Erwin, NC 28339.

Interment will follow immediately after service in Davis Chapel Church Cemetery, Linden, NC.
