Vivan Marie (McDougald) McLean

Ms. Vivian M. McDougald McLean, 79, of Lillington, NC, received her wings and went to walk with the Angels on Friday, November 19, 2021 while surrounded by her loving family.

At the families request they are not receiving visitors.

Ms. Vivian was born on January 4, 1942 to the late Thurman Patterson and Anna Ray in Lillington, NC. Vivian was a Graduate of Shawtown High School Class of 1960. 

Vivian’s cherished memories are left to Theresa (Perry)  Hicks, Larry ( Elanine ) McLean,Tonya McLean, Reggie McLean, Christopher McLean, Steven (Brittany) McLean, Libby Smith, Samantha Amerson, Reverend TJ ( Lillian) Patterson, Jr., 20 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, special relatives and friends , Nora Currie(Tempie), Darnisa Patterson (Niecy) and Dwayne Dykes and a host of nieces, nephews and friends 

Affectionally called many names Mother, Grannie,Ree and Marie either she loved and was the best of each of them.

She had special love for children and they loved her the same . After raising her children to school age she sought employment at Henley Robert’s child Development Center in Shawtown. There she served as Parent Coordinator for several years. Later she moved on to work with Harnett County Schools (Boone Trail Elementary) for several years . Vivian later retired  to again focus on her family.  She was a member of Victory Tabernacle of Lillington, NC
