My daddy passed suddenly and it was devastating to my family. I asked my cousin to reach out to a funeral home for us and he put me in contact with Ms. Stacey Walker. She immediately became family. The sudden death of my mother, Alvenia Mims, was a severe blow to my family and me. My brother and I were at a loss for where to begin. Years before her passing, my mother had requested that her remains be taken to Walker Funeral Home.

The team at Walker Funeral Home truly exceeded expectations in creating a comforting and supportive atmosphere during this difficult time. I could not finish out the week without expressing my gratitude for the love and care that was shown to my family during the loss of our father Bobby Blue. From the pre-arrangements to the funeral service, Walker Funeral Home was very professional and accommodating to my needs. Although, I am having a difficult time accepting the loss of my father, there was not a time the Walker staff was not there to comfort me and the family. I received so many compliments that my father looked the same and the service was beautiful. Do not want to call names of staff members, because I may forget someone, everyone helped me laugh during the time when I wanted to cry. Where do I start From picking my mother up from the hospital with urgency and letting us know she was safe and sound with them. The first meeting to make momma final arrangements and all the meetings and call in-between until the final one.To Ms. Walker Staff who keep our rowdy bunch of kids and grandkids entertained while we handled business.
